radiation ride

rode out past hartsville today to see if i could creepy crawl the abandoned nuclear plant, but no go, tva has gates on all the roads leading in that you cant see from the satellite shots i studied. i know people have been up in there because ive seen cool photos on urban exploration websites ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/21297926@N03/sets/72157622307343212/ ) but no photoshoots for me, wasnt really up for a trespass charge, the signs they have posted are pretty ominous. the ride wasn't a total wash though, saw some great old houses, a big ass pre-civil war log cabin inn on the old knoxville highway( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wynnewood_(Tennessee) ) and the .old bldg where randy's records used to be in gallatin, home of dot records. a decaying building chocked full of musical history just withering away in misuse. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/15/business/media/15wood.html?_r=0
