Rode out to see my ol mama in Rutherford county and then wandered aimlessly north after. Wound up in places I've somehow never been. Watertown's square is cute as all hell and the hills of Dekalb county are middle Tennessee's best; plus there's a shitton of queer & anarchist communities up in them hollows so alot of people out that way are cool, but their hillbilly weed farmers ain't to be messed with. Cautionary and sad tale ahead: the first lake pic I took was from a murder-bridge. I dated a crazy fun country gal from up in there & about 12-15 years ago some of her redneck dope farmer friends caught a boy stealing their crops. They kept him duct taped to a rocking chair and tortured him for a week, going so far as to take him that way to a party in the back of a pickup and burning and torturing him in front of witnesses. Later that night they dropped him chair and all off that bridge into Centerhill lake. Don't stray too far off the trail if you go hiking up in them hills, it's gorgeous yes, but some sights you just don't wanna see.
