wheelie and the chopper bunch

i freakin loved this show as a kid. i even had the book.

finding that just set me off on a childhood memory hunt, i got sucked down the hole for like an hour or so, haha

came back up with these

i was eat up with jealousy when my nerdy cousin got this bike, until he finally let me ride it. that thing sucked for steering, and you couldnt even think about taking it up a gravel driveway without falling over, haha.

so when it came my turn for a new bike, i picked a much wiser choice \m/ (i used to secretly sing that wildfire song while riding it hahaha). me n 3 other kids in the neighborhood got those throttle boxes for our bars that sound like a motorcycle when you rev em and started a biker gang. haha we wouldnt ride with any of the other kids who didnt have em for like the whole summer. screw those squares...

she'll be ridin' wiiiiiiiiiild fire

we ask you to ride

mule day biker party @ s&g customs

haha i cant believe they took the time to put this in a pdf
check out the lower left hand corner...haha

i've been meaning to get down to s&g cycles for years, and ive been told the mule day party is time to be there. they've supposedly got a monster collection of old bikes, so may try-n ride out there saturday. i'm torn between that and riding in to chattown to see my lil brother...
guess it'll depend how warm it is in the morn, it appears they close the shop fairly early on mule day. if it warms up by 11, should be doable. otherwise, i'm going to the mountains

best lil liquor store on the west siiii

not only is the building one of the coolest remnants of 50's space age design left in our city of "progress" where anything old is in the way of the "future", but laverts liquor store owner is a cool old cat. it seems hes owned every motorbike ive never heard of at some point in his life, as well as most that i do know. just when i think surely hes told about all of em, out comes another. last night was a 20 min lecture about the zundapp he used to own as a teen. its such a shame to watch the way his one good eye lights up when he talks bikes, he has been on a strict regimen of brother and wife keeping him off his bikes due to a stroke last year. they practically baby sit him at work, or thats just how it appears, eh maybe theyre just a really close family. but his brother has flat out said before hes making him stay off of em. but damn, you can almost see the need to ride eatin away at him when he relives past rides and times.

spring thaw 2011

not so many cool bikes this year, probably due to no shows due to rain. pretty much the only bikes on show were trailer queens, though one father son duo had 3 sweet triumphs they chopped themselves. i love this gun blue-ed bare metal one, she's sweet.

not too many yamaha chops, one was really cool but i didnt get a pic that was worth a shit...

i thought today was the day, i could just feel it, but still didnt find the aris light i want at the swap meet. damn...do like the look of the amber lens on that blk and red bike though.

this rat/patina-ed bike pulled my eyes as soon as i stepped in out of the downpour. i "think" it was an indian engine, looked like the head to me, but not positive. there was a sweet indian resto right next to it, so...

the shit weather is keepin us down man

looks like i'm gonna have to drive my faggety-assed car to the bike show/swap meet. lame...

werewolves on wheels 1971

best drive-in/b movie ever. got everything you need, bikers, acid trips, satanists, and werewolves. nuff said

if you advance to about 1/2 through this double feature, full movie starts at 1hr 44 min... damn if i'm not gonna have to watch this again right now
