so followed jack way out in the middle of bfe cheatham county today, after a stop at the dam, to my new favourite swimming hole. i rode out to marrowbone yesterday, but it was slow, stanking, and not anywhere near as cold as it was last weekend. this new one did not disappoint... super deep under the bridge and cold. even in the shallower areas, cool spots abound. bit overcrowded but so worth the hassle. went and had catfish and re-hydrated with many ice teas at the post-flood/rebuilt riverview restaurant & marina outside ashland city afterward. that's also on my list of new favorite places, big ass deck looking out over the river and hwy 49 bridge, gonna be good for post ride beers in the fall when it cools off some. i was way too overcooked & sunstroked for it today, didn't even wanna chance a beer until i got back here to the ice cave. good adventure...
