not only did the news break today that the call letters for 91.1 had changed on the fcc's website, but after a supposed break in dj's for routine maintenance, about an hour into the auto-dj's set today the airwaves went dead. our beloved 91 rock is now officially dead, the last bastion of non-corporate music in nashville is a footnote now. granted a huge one in some of our hearts, but only a footnote nonetheless. no longer will 12yr old misfits find an oasis in the desert of shit radio that is nashville by turning left of the dial. turns out the frequency was bought by npr...rip wrvu, i'll miss the hell out of you
